A little more background on the speaker:
*Mother – Korean
*Father – American GI
*Stephanie – born in 1955 in post-war Korea
*As a bi-racial child, she was left on the streets by her mother at the age of 4.
*Beaten, abused, thrown in a well, tied to a water-wheel to drown her, etc.
*On the streets for 3 years
*Survived on rodents, insects, stealing…
*Caught by farmers for stealing and was thrown in a bombed out building to die. The building was full of rats.
*She was dying and someone found her and put her in the garbage dump where she was found by a woman who put her in an orphanage.
*She lived in the orphanage until she was 9 years old. While there she was a domestic worker getting the water, washing the clothing and getting the other children ready for adoptive parents to pick.
*She was later chosen for adoption and came to the States
*Now married with 2 sons.
*Has a ministry called Destiny Ministries working with women in helping them to be all God wants them to be in spite of their past trauma and hurt.
We exist to impact future generations by reaching out to orphaned children and loving them as God has loved us.
